# Adobe Admin Console: Getting Started

> An administrator's introduction to the Adobe Admin Console: signing in, finding your way around, and understanding users, products, and product profiles.

The **Adobe Admin Console** is the central, web-based dashboard where your organisation manages its Adobe licences. From one place, administrators add and remove users, assign Creative Cloud, Acrobat, and other product licences, manage admin rights, and configure how people sign in.

This section of the Knowledge Base is a set of practical guides for administrators at organisations that buy Adobe through WOHO Solutions. Each guide walks through a common task step by step.

<Note>
  Adobe updates the Admin Console regularly, so button labels and menu positions may differ slightly from what you see here. The underlying steps stay the same. If something doesn't match, [contact WOHO](/support/contact) and we'll guide you through it.
</Note>

## Signing in

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Admin Console">
    Go to [adminconsole.adobe.com](https://adminconsole.adobe.com) in a modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in with your admin account">
    Use the email address that was set up as an administrator for your organisation. For most WOHO customers, the first administrator is the person named on the order when your Adobe plan was set up.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select your organisation">
    If your account belongs to more than one Adobe organisation, for example a personal plan and a company plan, choose your company organisation from the switcher in the top-right corner.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Can't sign in, or don't see the **Users** or **Products** tabs? Your account may not have admin rights yet. Ask an existing administrator to [assign you an admin role](/partners/adobe/admin-console/groups-and-admin-roles), or contact WOHO.
</Tip>

## Finding your way around

The Admin Console is organised into tabs across the top of the screen. Depending on your plan (Teams or Enterprise) and your admin role, you may see some or all of these:

| Tab | What you use it for |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Overview** | A summary of your licences, recent activity, and quick actions such as adding users. |
| **Products** | See every product your organisation owns, how many licences are used, and who has them. |
| **Users** | Add, edit, and remove users, manage user groups, and assign admin roles. |
| **Packages** | Create installer packages to deploy Adobe apps to your workstations. |
| **Account** | View your plan and contract details. |
| **Storage** | Manage shared cloud storage and reclaim files from users who have left. |
| **Settings** | Configure identity (directories, domains, and single sign-on), privacy, and other settings. |
| **Support** | Open and track support cases with Adobe. |

## Key concepts

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Users">
    A user is anyone in your organisation who needs access to Adobe apps or services. Each user is identified by an email address. Adding a user to the Admin Console doesn't use a licence until you assign them a product.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Products and licences">
    A product is something your organisation has bought, such as **Creative Cloud All Apps**, **Photoshop**, or **Acrobat Pro**. Each product comes with a number of licences (seats). A licence is used when you assign that product to a user.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Product profiles">
    A product profile is a way of grouping licences for a product and controlling which apps and services come with it. For example, you might have one Creative Cloud profile with generative AI features turned on and another with them turned off. Assigning a user to a profile gives them the licence and the settings in that profile. Teams plans usually have one default profile per product. Enterprise plans often use several.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="User groups">
    A user group is a named collection of users, such as "Marketing" or "Design Studio". Assign a product profile to a group, and every member gets that licence automatically, which saves time when onboarding teams.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Identity types">
    Adobe supports three account types:

    * **Adobe ID / Business ID**: users sign in with their email address and an Adobe-managed password. This is the simplest option and the default for most Teams plans.
    * **Enterprise ID**: accounts owned and controlled by your organisation on a domain you've verified, with an Adobe-managed password.
    * **Federated ID**: accounts owned by your organisation that sign in through your own identity provider (such as Microsoft Entra ID or Google Workspace) using single sign-on.

    See [Identity and single sign-on](/partners/adobe/admin-console/identity-and-sso) for details.
