## Migrating from On-Premises

Moving from an on-premises Exchange, file server, or legacy email provider to Microsoft 365 is one of the most impactful upgrades an organisation can make. WOHO manages the entire migration process.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pre-Migration Assessment">
    We inventory your current environment -- mailbox sizes, distribution lists, shared drives, applications, and DNS records -- to build a detailed migration plan with timelines and risk mitigations.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tenant Setup & Configuration">
    We provision your Microsoft 365 tenant, configure custom domains, set up DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and establish admin roles and security policies.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Data Migration">
    Using Microsoft-native and third-party migration tools, we transfer mailboxes, calendars, contacts, and files with minimal downtime. We support migrations from Exchange Server, G Suite (Google Workspace), IMAP providers, and file servers.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Security & Compliance Hardening">
    We enable multi-factor authentication (MFA), configure conditional access policies, set up data loss prevention (DLP) rules, and apply retention and archival policies aligned to your compliance requirements.
  </Step>

  <Step title="User Training & Change Management">
    We conduct training sessions for end users and IT administrators, covering Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. We provide quick-start guides and ongoing Q\&A support during the transition period.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Post-Migration Support">
    After cutover, we monitor mail flow, resolve any residual issues, decommission legacy systems when appropriate, and hand over full documentation of the new environment.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Security Features

Microsoft 365 includes a layered set of security capabilities that grow with your plan tier.

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)">
    Require a second verification step -- such as a phone notification, biometric, or hardware key -- before granting access. MFA is available at no additional cost on all Microsoft 365 plans and is the single most effective defence against account compromise.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Conditional Access">
    Define policies that grant or block access based on user location, device compliance, risk level, and application sensitivity. Available with Azure AD Premium (included in Business Premium and E3/E5 plans).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Data Loss Prevention (DLP)">
    Automatically detect and protect sensitive information -- credit card numbers, national ID numbers, health records -- across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams. Policies can block, encrypt, or notify when sensitive data is shared inappropriately.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Microsoft Defender for Office 365">
    Advanced protection against phishing, malware, and zero-day threats in email and collaboration tools. Includes Safe Links, Safe Attachments, and automated investigation and response. Available in Business Premium and E5 plans or as an add-on.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Information Protection & Governance">
    Classify, label, and encrypt documents and emails based on sensitivity. Apply retention policies to meet regulatory requirements and use eDiscovery tools for legal holds and investigations.
  </Accordion>

<Note>
  WOHO recommends enabling MFA and configuring baseline conditional access policies as part of every Microsoft 365 deployment. These two measures alone prevent the vast majority of identity-based attacks.
