A licence gives a user access to an Adobe product such as Creative Cloud All Apps, a single app like Photoshop, or Acrobat Pro. This guide covers every common licence task in the Adobe Admin Console.

Check how many licences you have

Before assigning, check what’s available:
  1. Sign in at adminconsole.adobe.com and select the Products tab.
  2. Each product shows the number of licences used out of the total purchased, for example 8 of 10.
  3. Select a product to see who holds each licence and which product profiles it uses.

Assign a licence to a user

There are two ways to do this. Use whichever is more convenient.
Best when you’re setting up one person with one or more products.
1

Find the user

Go to Users > Users and select the user’s name. If they aren’t listed yet, add them first.
2

Edit their products

In the Products section of the user’s details, select the More options (…) menu and choose Edit products.
3

Choose the products

Select the + (Add) icon, choose the product, and, if asked, the product profile. Add as many products as needed.
4

Save

Select Save. The user receives an email from Adobe telling them the product is ready.
To license a whole department at once, assign the product to a user group instead of to individuals. New team members get the licence automatically when you add them to the group. See User groups and admin roles.

Change a user’s licence

To swap a user from one product to another, for example from Photoshop single-app to Creative Cloud All Apps:
  1. Go to Users > Users and select the user.
  2. In the Products section, select More options (…) > Edit products.
  3. Add the new product and remove the old one by selecting the x or Delete icon next to it.
  4. Select Save.
The user keeps their files and settings. They may need to sign out and sign back in to the Creative Cloud desktop app to see the change.

Reassign a licence to someone else

When a staff member leaves or changes role, move their licence to someone else instead of buying a new one.
1

Remove the licence from the current user

Select the current user in Users > Users. In the Products section, select the Delete icon next to the product. To remove the person from your organisation entirely, see Remove users and reclaim licences.
2

Assign it to the new user

The freed licence returns to the pool. Assign it to the new person using either method above.
Adobe official guide: Remove or reassign licences
Adobe Teams plans limit how many times you can assign or reassign licences each month. If you hit the limit, the Admin Console will tell you. Contact WOHO if you need to make a large number of changes at once, such as for a restructure or an intake of new students.

Adding more licences

Because your Adobe plan is purchased through WOHO Solutions as your reseller, you can’t add licences in the Admin Console by paying Adobe directly. Instead, request extra seats from WOHO:
1

Contact WOHO

Email hello@woho.solutions or call +230 615 6906 with the product name and number of extra licences you need.
2

Approve the quote

WOHO sends a pro-rated quote, so you only pay for the time left on your current term. Invoicing is in Mauritian Rupees.
3

Licences appear in your Admin Console

Once the order is placed, the new licences show on the Products tab, usually the same day. You can then assign them as normal.
Adobe official guide: Add products and licences
Some Admin Console plans let you assign more users than you’ve purchased, and the additional seats are then billed through your reseller. Talk to WOHO before relying on this so there are no surprises on your next invoice.

Reducing licences

You can reduce your licence count at your plan’s renewal (anniversary) date. Before that date:
  1. Remove licences from anyone who no longer needs them, so the used count reflects reality.
  2. Tell WOHO how many licences you want to keep. We’ll adjust your renewal quote.
WOHO contacts customers ahead of every renewal to review licence usage, so you’re never paying for seats you don’t use.

Remove users and reclaim licences

Offboard leavers and free up seats.
